What if I want to cancel an order?
You may email us at returnrequest@cameracanopy.com. If your order has not shipped, we will cancel it and refund the purchase price. If the order has been shipped, email us for a RETURN AUTHORIZATION. You will be responsible for the return shipping charges.
Will Camera Canopy fit on my camera?
Both The Original Camera Canopy™ and the Mini Camera Canopy™ will fit ANY camera with a hot shoe connection.
Is assembly required?
The Camera Canopy™ comes fully assembled and ready to use. You may attach the included Rear Tripod Shield if you wish.
What are the Camera Canopy Specs?
The whole unit weighs 2.2 Lbs. The dimensions in the standard position are 14"L x 11"W x 4"H. When fully extended, 18"L. When fully extended with Rear Tripod Shield attached, 21"L. The Mini Camera Canopy™ is 13"L and weighs 14.2 Oz.
Is Camera Canopy effective in all types of rain?
We want to be upfront about the limitations of our product. Both the Camera Canopy™ and Mini Camera Canopy™ are effective under normal rain conditions when held correctly. In wind driven, heavy downpours both will provide only partial protection.
Will the back of the camera get wet?
There is a slight overhang which provides protection during shooting when using Camera Canopy™ without the Rear Tripod Shield. Helpful hint: Some customers find the Rear Tripod Shield keeps their glasses dry when hand holding the camera.
Is anything else included with my purchase?
Both Camera Canopy™ and Mini Camera Canopy™ will arrive with the Rear Tripod Shield, Use and Care instructions and a drawstring backpack/carry bag.
What if I need a replacement part?
In the unlikely event that you need something replaced, you may contact us at: replacements@cameracanopy.com with the words "REPLACEMENT NEEDED" in the subject. We will get back to you asap.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept PAYPAL and all major credit cards.
Can I purchase the Mini Camera Canopy version for my DSLR camera?
Yes. You can always purchase the Extendable/Retractable Shield Kit later on if you find you need longer lens length protection.
Can I use my flash while using the Camera Canopy?
Yes, by using a flash bracket and sync chord (which can be found on many sites for under $20.00).
Simply sit the flash on the "cold shoe" of the bracket, then attach the sync chord to the flash.
